Raquel Aparicio

Ávila, Spain

Raquel was born in Ávila, Spain. After spending a few years studying in Edinburgh she went back to Spain to study illustration. Raquel also attended one year at the Illustration Academy in Florida.

She specializes in exploring different styles by producing illustrations, animations and comics. Her work feels very personal - it is vibrant, pretty, sensual, with a generous helping of nostalgia. She is a favourite at Monster Threads, and we look forward to seeing more of her work. Her art has had noticeable success in several juried competitions.

She loves reading, cats and creepy animation movies.
